Late Sri Sri Lakshmivara Thirtharu, pontiff of Sri Shiruru Matt (one of the 8 matts established by Sri Madhvacharya of Udupi) was a great art enthusiast and exponent.
Many great artists and institution owe their existence to unflinching support they got from him. Our institution is also indebted to him for the support it received from
him during the difficult initial years.
An electronics engineer by academic qualification, Sri Pattabhiram was never interested in pursuing a carrier in it. From early age he was inspired by RSS and
very actively took part in in resisting the 1975 emergency and therefore had to undergo imprisonment under infamous MISA. Later he turned his energies fulltime to pursue yoga.
He trained under many masters like B KS Iyengar, Swamy Vishnubhodananda, Jiddu Krishnamurti etc. He worked as an instructor in
Rishi Valley School of Jiddu Krishnamurti for some time. His search for Guru culminated when Sri Swami Rama of Himalayas spotted him at a function in Mysore.
Under able guidance of Swami Rama he matured into an accomplished Yogi and one of the foremost Srividya exponents.
His yearly visits to Kundapura from 2000 to 2012 which were aranged by Sri B N Sudheendra Chatra and Narayana Aithal layed the seeds for Sadhana Kala Sangama
