Art, Culture and spirituality are inter-related terms. When we talk about any one of them, invariably we would talk about other two also. Every individual is profoundly affected by these three aspects. Culture builds general character; spirituality is reflected in how he/she understands himself/herself and the world around him/her; art reflects level of skill acquired in expressing his/her understanding. Refine these three aspects and you have a refined individual. At SADAHANA KALA SANGAMA we undertake this holistic aproach to spiritual evolution. It is here that Sadhana – the right tool of evolution- and Kala- the Arts- meet to generate a new humanity.
KALA (ART)

At individual level each one of us is an artist already. Divinity has put in each of us an in-exhaustible power of creative expression. In essence each one of expressions in daily life is an expression of art because they are manifestations of same creative power.
However, for most individuals these expressions never grow beyond mediocrity and mediocrity never brings joy. Joy comes out of an artful expression. SADHANA – or right tool – is the difference between mediocrity and excellence.

SADHANA – is not merely learning a skill. It is also receiving an attitude or a new eye to look at the world. It has the power to change the individual, change how he/she experiences the world and express the experience. It is the art of turning mediocre into excellence, ordinary into a thing of joy.

SADHANA KALA SANGAMA TRUST®, KUNDAPUR, which came into being in 2009, is truly a rare Sangama – or Union- of two great spiritual traditions of India. Started with the blessings of H.H. Sri Sri Lakshmivara Theertharu of Shiruru Matt and Yogacharya Sri A. G. Pattabhiram, disciple of Swami Rama of Himalayas, the trust is tirelessly working to make our future generation more sensitive, conscious and aware of joy of artful expression. By combining perennial wisdom of authentic yoga science with various forms of arts, children are made to discover the joyful harmony that exists within and without.
We hope that one day we may be able to build a mature culture – samskruti- that appreciates the fine balance, grace, beauty and harmony in nature which is perfect source of everlasting joy.
